The auxiliary verb werden (becomes) in present (Präsens).
In the previous lesson we met two important verbs haben, sein. In addition to them, the auxiliary verb also includes the verb werden. It has its own peculiarities of conjugation, since it refers to incorrect ones.

As an auxiliary verb, this verb is used in conjunction with other verbs that carry a meaning, to create certain types of sentences, for example, future tense. Werden in such cases is not translated. Examples of using this verb as an auxiliary are not considered in this lesson.
Here are a few examples with this verb when it is used independently.
Der Himmel wird schrecklicher. - The sky is getting worse.
Der Wind wird stärker. - The wind is getting stronger.
